Serious Fiber is a passion-driven fiber arts business founded by Crystal, a lifelong maker whose love for creativity began before the age of twelve. What started with sewing quickly grew into a deep appreciation for crochet, knitting, spinning, weaving, and hand-dyeing. Over the years, yarn became more than just a craft supply—it became a creative outlet, a source of comfort, and eventually the foundation for a growing business dedicated to handcrafted fiber art and high-quality hand-dyed yarns.

During her time serving in the United States Navy, knitting became both a stress reliever and a meaningful form of self-expression. Crystal’s passion for the fiber arts naturally expanded into teaching, where she led knitting classes through the USO and discovered a love for helping others learn and enjoy the craft. After leaving active duty in 2019, she began pursuing her dream of opening a yarn-focused business, starting with hand-dyed spinning fiber sold through Etsy and local markets.

Today, Serious Fiber continues to grow through hand-dyed yarn collections, handcrafted fiber products, vendor fairs, and boutique partnerships. Every skein and handmade piece reflects Crystal’s creativity, dedication, and appreciation for the fiber arts community.
