Ball Drop

The goal of this event is to bring a large group of spectators within a 60-mile radius to downtown Fort Smith. Providing a successful and entertaining event with activities for all ages will promote higher attendance and create a family-friendly atmosphere downtown Fort Smith that the public will love.

This event will create a family friendly atmosphere downtown and help build a cheerful outlook about downtown Fort Smith among the public. Visitors will experience the atmosphere and see all there is to do downtown. They will also spend time and money in the retail shops, bars/restaurants and other establishments that are open in the downtown area, and experience the Entertainment District, setting the stage for them to come downtown more regularly.

Fall Festival + Oktoberfest

This event is brought to you by all the National Historic Site, the Fort Smith Downtown Business Association, the Fort Smith Museum of History, Miss Laura’s, the Clayton House, the Bonneville House, the U.S. Marshal’s Museum, the Discover Fort Smith, the Regional Art Museum, Main Street Fort Smith and the City of Fort Smith.

Set against the historic backdrop of downtown Fort Smith, this lively event features an array of family friendly activities, craft activities for the little ones, historic re-enactments, artisan vendors, discounted museum admissions, a car show, food trucks and more, followed by a super fun Oktoberfest Pub Crawl! There's something for everyone.
