Fort Smith Museum of History Celebrates 5 Years of Summer Fun!
Fort Smith, AR — The Fort Smith Museum of History is packing its (imaginary) suitcase and heading into its 5th exciting year of summer children’s programming—this year’s theme is: “New Faces, New Friends–Adventures in Belonging”.
This year’s series invites young adventurers to explore the joys and challenges of moving to new places, meeting new people, discovering different cultures, and building lasting friendships. Storytelling, crafts, music, and hands-on activities, will help children find belonging and support in every new corner of the world. Because wherever you go, there’s always a friend to meet and a story to share!
Through museum artifacts, interactive storytelling, hands-on activities, music, and cultural celebrations, children will learn that no matter where you go, curiosity and connection are universal.
This year’s theme honors and celebrates the histories of the Cherokee and Choctaw Nations, WWII, and the Vietnamese community.
