Our Inspiration

After visiting different small towns in the US, our founder got the chance to see several vibrant downtowns. All of these places had one thing in common: a local candy shop. Having lived here in the Fort Smith area her whole life, she wanted to bring something similar to her beloved downtown area here on Garrison Avenue. With that, the road to building Garrison Goodies began.

Building History

317 Garrison Ave has had a long history prior to the arrival of Garrison Goodies. Originally the White Front Saloon, built in 1896, 317 Garrison Avenue is listed as one of the contributing buildings in West Garrison Avenue Historic District. In 1982, The Hamburger Barn opened its doors here and operated until its closing in 2015. Today, Garrison Goodies is the current business operating within this historic building and has been opened to the public since 2022.
