The Popped Popcorn Company is a Fort Smith original, popping handcrafted gourmet popcorn that’s rich in flavor, tradition, and local history. Known for its fresh, small-batch popcorn and creative flavor combinations, this beloved downtown shop blends time-honored recipes with a modern appreciation for quality and craft.

Originally established by the Kistler family as SB Popcorn, the company has deep roots in Fort Smith. What began decades ago as a family endeavor is now proudly owned and operated by its fourth family.

Over four decades later, the popcorn is still popped and flavored using Mrs. Kistler’s original gourmet popcorn recipes, made daily in the historic J.A. Sparks Building, originally built in 1908. In 2008, the building was thoughtfully restored to its original color scheme and finishes, preserving an authentic piece of downtown Fort Smith’s architectural history.
